April Visit To Sedona, Arizona

We spent a lovely week in Sedona with Tim and Marry Mossteller at their Oak Creek time share. We enjoyed the out of doors with hikes on the Solders Pass, Brims Mesa, and Little Horse trails. In between we enjoyed some tennis and delightful food.

A Week in the Desert at La Quinta

On March 19th we went to La Quinta in the Southern California desert and spent a week at Keith's parent's vacation home. The weather cooperated, and we enjoyed a week at the pool and had two visits to the "Living Desert". While at the "Living Desert", we saw their butterfly and hummingbird exhibit. We were fortunate to photograph a hummingbird nest with the mother feeding two young. It was a very pleasant surprise. We also went to Joshua Tree National Park and watched Melissa, Keith, and Kellen rock climb.

Grandson Cairn is 2

We went to Southern California and Rancho Cucamonga on March 15th to celebrate Cairn's second birthday on March 16. Family gathered at the Buca di Beppo restaurnat in Claremont for a birthday dinner celebrtation.

March "Wine Road"

The second weekend in March we joined some of Hugh's Naval Academy classmates and families for a weekend of fine wine tasting. We started on Tuesday March 9th and 10th enjoying some of Napa Valley's wines with tours of Opus I and Cakebread wineries. Then on Friday we went up US 101 for two days of wine tasting in the Sonoma Valley. Great times, great wine and great friends.

February Skiing at Squaw Valley

Georgia and I took a mid week three day break and went to Lake Tahoe to ski. Wednesday was a "blue bird" day with the sun, snow and the Lake Tahoe in the background.

January in Jamaica

My brother and his wife bought four tickets on Jet Blue to Montego Bay, Jamaica at a fund raiser for "Angel Flights". We enjoyed a lovely week in Montego Bay after visiting Hugh's mother in Pittsburgh. The pictures are of Georgia at Round Hill Resort, the pool at Round Hill Resort, my brother Dave and his wife Debbie, Georgia and Hugh, and Hugh and his mother in Pittsburgh.

Pasadena Rose Parade

Early on New Year's Morning, we traveled to Pasadena with Melissa, Keith, and Kellen to see the Rose Parade. Our seats were at Colorado Blvd and Orange Grove where the parade is televised. What a day! What a parade!
